Q: What if I don’t like how my skin feels after using your soaps?

market. In fact, we are so confident that you will love them, that we are offering 100%
no questions asked, money-back guarantee. If it’s not the best soap you’ve ever used —
it’s on us. If you don’t like your soaps just even a single bit – it’s on us. Any reason you
are unhappy, simply let us know and we will refund your money.
 
Q: How long does a bar of your soap typically last?
A:
Most of our customers say a bar of our soap lasts them between 3-4 weeks under
normal daily use. It really depends on how often it is used and taken care of not to leave
sitting in water.
 
Q: What should I do to make my soap last longer?
A:
Let your soap dry out between uses, by putting your soap on some kind of a soap dish
that allows air to circulate around the bar. A 'proper' soap dish will either raise the bar
up for air to circulate from beneath, or contain air holes for drainage of water below the
soap. If you store your soap on the little shelf built into most shower stalls and tub, the
shower spray will continually soak your soap. You will literally see your soap and your
money, go down the drain. You can also use a sisal bag or netted sponge to further
extend the soap's lather. Our handmade natural soaps will last longer if you take care of
them!
 
Q: I have a coupon, but i’m not sure where or how to use it.
A: On the checkout screen on the left hand side of the page under order summery there is a
box just above the total that reads Coupon/Gift Certificate. Add code and hit apply and
the discount will be applied.
 
Q: Can I use multiple coupon codes per order?
A: Unfortunately only one coupon code may be used per order.
 
Q: Sometimes your soap looks different than the pic listed, Is that the same
soap?
A:
Yes, I will always do my best to keep my recipes as close to the last made batch
after all it is homemade. Colors, textures & scents may slightly vary from one batch to
another.
 
Q: What are "Reward/Loyalty Points" and how do they work?
A: If you have created an account with Ocean Mist Soaps you will earn reward points each
time you order. Reward points can then be used on future orders. Reward points give
you a discount on your order.
To use your reward points log in. Then on the BOTTOM RIGHT hand of your screen
you'll see a little "tab" that says Bubble Bucks. Click on that. You will see how many
points you have and you can then redeem the points for $5, $10, $15, $20, or $25
coupon that you can apply to your cart at checkout.
 
Q: Can I order outside of the USA?
A: Unfortunately Ocean Mist Soaps does not ship outside of the USA.
 
Q: What are your soaps made with?
A: You will find the ingredients for each item listed with the description of the item. Ocean
Mist Soaps uses both essential oils and fragrance oils. My fragrance oils are paraben and
phthalate free. They a are high quality, skin-safe fragrances.
 
Q: Why when I receive my soaps during humid weather conditions, some of
the soaps and wrappers may be damp or wrinkled from the natural “sweat”
of the soaps; Why is my soap wet in the packaging/ why does soap sweat?
A:
A quality bar of handmade soap will often “sweat” in humid weather due to the high
content of natural humectants. A humectant is a substance that readily absorbs
moisture from its surroundings.
When natural soap sits out in humid conditions, the glycerin in the soap will draw the
moisture out of the air and onto the soap. So the sweating is actually moisture from the
air that the glycerin attracts, not moisture coming from inside the soap. The more humid
the environment and the more humectants in the soap, the more likely you’ll experience
this phenomenon; There is nothing wrong with your soap, it’s just the glycerin and other
natural humectants doing their job.
 
Q: Why are my lotion/balms/scrubs melted?
A: During hot weather months some products may melt a little during shipping. Just place
in the fridge for about 15 minutes at time of delivery and they will be good as new. You
may even stir them a bit before placing in the fridge. I assure you that they are still good
and 100% usable.
 
Q: Do you have to use lye when making your soap?
A:
Yes. It is impossible to make real soap without using lye. However, during the process
of making soap, no lye remains in the finished product. 100% of the lye added to our
recipes bonds with the oils in the recipe and through the saponification process,
becomes soap and glycerin. No lye remains in the final bars of soap.
 
Q: How should handmade soap be stored?
A:
Handmade soap should be stored in a cool, dark and dry location such as a linen
cupboard until it is ready to be used.
 
Q: Are you local?
A:
You have the option to pick up your order at our home and avoid shipping charges! Use
code LOCAL at check out to remove the shipping. We hold orders here for up to
one week from time of purchase
and can take payment with a credit card online
during check out.
PLEASE NOTE: We will send you an email when your order has been filled and is ready to pick up. As we currently do not have a brick and mortar store please wait for that email before coming to our home. We also appreciate a heads up as far as when you plan to stop by with at least a 24 hour notice called in or texted to 954-544-8824, that way you can be sure we are home when you get here. If we will not be able to be home at that time, we will leave package in a plastic box at our door marked orders. Just open and look for your name on the bags. It will be makes bag 1 of .... if more than one bag is needed. Order turnover is 24-48 hours on ready made products and 3-5 days on made to order products, so plan accordingly when you place your order.
